Today, we were delighted to welcome Community Gardaí Tara and Mark to our school for a special talk with our 6th class students. Their visit focused on the important transition from primary to secondary school, offering helpful advice and reassurance as our pupils prepare for this exciting new chapter.
Gardaí Tara and Mark spoke about the changes students can expect in secondary school, including new routines, increased independence, and the importance of making good choices. They also discussed how to stay safe—both online and in the community—and how to handle peer pressure or unfamiliar situations.
The talk was friendly, informative, and engaging, with plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions. We’re very grateful to Garda Tara and Garda Mark for their time and for the positive, supportive message they shared. Their visit helped to build confidence and awareness as our 6th class gets ready for the journey ahead
