It was an early start for our 6th class pupils, teachers and SNAs as we departed school before 8:00am to begin our Confirmation retreat to Lough Derg in Co, Donegal.
Lough Derg is a place known for reflection, faith, and community. It was a very special experience for everyone involved, offering time away from our busy everyday life to pause, think, pray and prepare more deeply for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Throughout the day, the children engaged in prayer, quiet reflection, and group team building activities that encouraged them to consider the meaning of Confirmation and their own personal faith journeys. The peaceful surroundings of Lough Derg provided the perfect setting for this important milestone.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms Connell, Fr Tom, and Catriona for organising such a meaningful and memorable retreat. Thank you also to the Lough Derg staff for their guidance and support ensured that the day was both enjoyable and spiritually enriching for all. It is certainly a day we will never forget.
Well done to our 6th class pupils for the respectful and thoughtful way they participated. We are very proud of them as they continue their preparation for Confirmation.
