Well done to both our boys and girls teams who took part in the Cumann Na mBunscol Finals today Saturday the 7th of June in Scarden .
The girls team were successful in their game against Ransboro NS in a hard fought match with a strong breeze making play difficult. They played brilliantly retaining the trophy for a second year .We would like to thank Ransboro for the great game today.
The boys were very unlucky in their game against Carraroe NS. this year in a repeat of last year's final. Carraroe got off to a great start but our boys never gave up and had a fantastic second half with a couple of point in a row bringing the scores closer. However it wasn't to be their day today. Congratulations to Carraroe on their success this time around.
We would like to thank all the parents and teachers who came along to cheer on the teams and to support the children. Huge thanks to Mr Kelly and Ms Bambrick for their time all year training the teams . It was another very successful year for the school in Cumann na mBunscol.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank the local Cumann na mBunscol committee for their work organising the finals today and for all their work throughout the year . It was a fantastic day out for all the schools involved.
