Our boys football team competed in the finals of the large schools category of Cumann na mBunscol in Markievicz Park on Saturday the 13th of June 2026. Once again this year their opponents in the final were the pupils from Carraroe NS.
The sun broke through but there was a stiff breeze making it challenging conditions on the players. Our boys played very well against a strong Carraroe team and it was only in extra time that the teams were separated by a couple of scores.
Well done to all our players who kept fighting until the final whistle. We are very proud of your efforts. A huge thank you to Mr Kelly who gives so much time and energy to coaching the teams all year long.We thank him for his super commitment to the school 🏫
