Cycle
Thursday the 21st of May was a special day for our pupils from 4th to 6th classes. They were all invited to take part in a 5 km cycle, putting the skills they learned during their cycle safety lessons over the years to the test. Ms Coggins put a lot of time and work into organising this very successful morning, and she was delighted with the fantastic level of participation and road safety on display.
We want, to thank Garda Pat Gallagher for his presence on the route and for his guidance to the children on cycle safety. We would also like to thank the parents who volunteered to cycle with the children and were also on hand all along the route, ensuring the children's safety. We appreciate you taking the time to support this event today.
Well done to all the pupils who took part today and those who supplied the well-earned refreshments upon return to the school. Each child was delighted with their RSA-sponsored bag, which we are sure will be put to great use..We hope that this will become an annual event and look forward to seeing more pupils cycle safely to school in the future.
