Easter Assembly 🐣

27th Mar 2026

The whole school came together for a lovely Easter Assembly on Friday the 27th of March 2026. Mrs Connell reminded the children of all the activities and events that had taken place in the last term and thanked them and all the staff for all their hard work both inside the class and in all the extra curricular activities which had taken place during the term.

Caroline and Karen from our Parents Association presented a cheque for €500 to Nicola from Sligo Social Service the proceeds of Pancake Tuesday . Nicola thanked the children for choosing their charity and said that the money would  be used to support  children in the Sligo area.
Mrs Connell thanked the Parents Association for their continued support of all the events in the school 🏫 .

Ms Bambrick and the wellbeing committee were thanked for all the activities organised during the week. The winners of their Poster competition  “Together we grow, Together we shine “ were presented with their prizes.

In May the school will celebrate a huge milestone as will be 50 years since the school opened in 1976. The Student Council organised an art competition and the prize winners of this competition were also presented with their prize. Their winning pictures are on display on the Student Council Noticeboard .

Well done to all the children who took part in both competitions-the standard was exceptionally high and it was a very difficult  job for the judges to select the winners .

This year the children all wore something yellow as a fundraiser in aid of Pieta House. Thank you to the children and their parents for supporting this project with €404 was collected on the day.

We wish everyone a very Happy Easter 🐣 from all the pupils and staff in Rathcormac NS .
