Our 3rd to 6th classes began Engineering Week by welcoming Upaka Rathnayake to our school.
Upaka is an Engineer who works in ATU Sligo and is also a parent of a pupil in our school.
Upaka spoke about his career, how he became an engineer, what the advantages of being an engineer are and gave most interesting talks to all the boys and girls in these classes.
We are extremely grateful to Upaka for being so generous with his time and for sharing his knowledge and experience with us all.
Hopefully some of our pupils will be inspired by his presentation.
