Rathcormac NS welcomed pupils from Scoil Molaise Grange, St Clare' s Manorhamilton, Cliffoney NS ,Gaelscoil Chnoc na Re and Castelgal NS to the hall on Tuesday the 24th of February, to participate in the Fischell Chess Feile. The 120 children had the opportunity to play 6 rounds of chess over the course of the day, and it was fantastic to see the level of engagement throughout the hall. The games were all played in a friendly and respectful manner and the children had the opportunity to get to know each other as they played together on the yard at break times. Well done to all the pupils who took part in this fun event today, hosted by our arbiter Craig. Thank you to all the teachers and staff who accompanied the pupils, and we hope that the children continue to play and enjoy chess in the future.
