Graduation 2025
We had a Special Leavers' Assembly on Thursday the 19th of June at 11.15 am. The hall was packed as the whole school came together to wish our 6th class of 2025 the very best of luck in the future as they graduated from our school after 8 happy years.
Fr Tom began with a lovely prayer service which focused on all the special moments in the children's school journey and gave thanks for all the people who supported them at home and in school. He blessed them as they move forward from our school on the next stage of their life journey.
The large crowd of parents, grandparents and family members in the hall were treated to a fantastic show which highlighted the talents of all the students in the school.
Our Junior Infants did an excellent job reciting a newly composed poem celebrating school life - Senior Infants raised the roof in the hall with their outstanding performance of How Far I'll go. Next up on stage was first class who sang their hearts out with their fantastic performance of Belong Together.
We were thrilled to have Bella and Eilis from 6th class perform Way Back When. With their beautiful singing voices, they captured all our hearts. Well done girls on a superb performance.
We can always count on second class for a brilliant performance, and they delivered once again singing Count on Me. Third class really did Rock Us and we had a new star Dihean who accompanied his class on his electric guitar. Sixth class were delighted to see fourth class perform Paddy Panda, a real crowd pleaser. Fifth class were on Top of the World -well done on a great performance of this classic song
When our 6th class girls took to the stage with their outstanding performance of Slipping through my fingers many parents had to wipe away a quiet tear .
The student council presented the prizes to the winners of the Table Tennis Competition which they organised recently. The 6th class girls who designed the new Bi Cinealta child friendly posters were also acknowledged. Their designs will be displayed around the school in the new school year.
Following a farewell speech from Mrs Connell and the presentation of their graduation certificates, all of our 6th class pupils went on stage to deliver their final performance in Rathcormac NS . They sang Pompeii and got a standing ovation. Well done to all the girls and boys, we are very proud of you.
It is always very emotional when the whole school sings the Leavers Song as the other classes say goodbye to our fantastic 6th class pupils.
Following the assembly, 6th class and their parents stayed for refreshments and watched the photostory and video which captured many highlights of their 8 years in Rathcormac NS.
We wish the children every success in the future and hope they will all be very happy in their new schools following their well-deserved Summer Holiday break.
