Mr.Brennan's class visited Arigna Mines today.

There was great excitement setting off on the bus and it wasn't long before the children demonstrated their super singing talent!

Our tour guide, who actually worked in the mines for 9 years, took us underground.

He gave us all a fascinating insight into what mining life was like, the children asking excellent questions to enhance their learning, completing a worksheet as we moved along.

We had a look in the museum and saw  photographs and artefacts.

A stop off at the playground for some fun and games brought our day to a close.
