It is so important in the present day to do what we can to help the environment and our local area.
Part of our Green schools initiative is to 'Reduce Reuse Recycle' when it comes to rubbish.
We also wanted to find a way to recycle items and raise money for our school.
Ms McGillen and Catriona (school secretary) worked hard to acquire a clothes bank (purple colour) which is located just outside the school gates . We are working with a company from Cookstown 'Cash for Clobber' since 2021.
People can drop off any unwanted clothing, bed sheets, pillow cases, bags, shoes.
PLEASE DO NOT PUT IN DUVETS OR PILLOW CASES.
The clothes bank is emptied every Tuesday. The items are weighed and we get 0.40c per kg.
The support shown by people in the community has been wonderful and we hope that it will continue moving forward.
So if you feel like doing a spring clean of your wardrobes please drop the clothes to our clothes bank. We would really appreciate them as every little helps.
