Today May 7th, our sixth class pupils celebrated their Confirmation in St Colmcille’s’ Church Rathcormac.
Bishop Kevin joined by Fr Tom led a beautiful ceremony.
The church was full and the children were all a credit to their families and to their school.
The children participated with readings, Psalm singing and a beautiful instrumental piece on the harp played by Alanna.
The children from third to fifth class sang beautifully and received so many well deserved compliments.
The Parish Council presented each child with a special gift in remembrance of their special day.
The children and their families then enjoyed a cup of tea and a chat in the old school.
Many thanks to the parents and parents association for decorating the old school so appropriately and making the after party so special for the confirmation class and their families.
We hope that the children will be inspired by The Holy Spirit for years to come.
A special word of thanks goes to all staff who contributed to making this a very special and memorable day for our sixth class pupils.
