School Assembly
The whole school came together on Friday the 26th of September for the first assembly of the new school year. Mrs Connell introduced the Junior Infant class of 2025 and she wished them success in their learning and lots of happiness, and new friendships in the years ahead in Rathcormac NS. She urged all the children in the school to do their best this year, to try something new or to set themselves a challenge. She emphasised the themes of friendship and kindness, which are really important in our school.
She referenced the school rules and showed the new Bí Cinéalta posters, reminding the children of the importance of telling a trusted person if needed. She reminded the children that high standards of behaviour are expected in the school. She stated the importance of everyone feeling safe in school and everyone having respect for one another and their school.
Over the Summer, many pupils had been successful in the National Community Games Finals, Athletic events, Soccer and Gaelic competitions and all these achievements were acknowledged with the children showing their trophies and medals to all present in the hall. The mini 7 teams and cross county athletics were wished success in their upcoming events.
Presentations were made to our fantastic SNAs, Moninne, Majella, Kate, Michelle and Jenny and our secretary Catríona, in recognition of all the fantastic work they do to support the children in the school. They received a huge Bualadh Bós from all present.
