Our final day in Active Schools Week is always special. Our wonderful 6th class pupils have been preparing for Sports Day for months.
They drew up a list of activities, sorted all the sports equipment and organised the timetables, groups, and locations around the school for all the events.
They have an obstacle course, a water relay event, rounders, and parachute games, as well as egg and spoon, 3-legged races, penalties, welly throwing, bench ball, Olympic handball, mini games, sponge throwing, and basketball activities.
All the pupils from Junior Infants to 5th class enjoy these fun activities, and we have been blessed with good weather after all the rain this week.
A huge thank you to our Parents Association, who organised the ice-cream van for the whole school to enjoy a well-deserved treat.
Well done and a big thank you to Mr Kelly, Ms McLean, and 6th class for their work today. It was a very enjoyable day for all the children in the school.
