On Friday 3rd class was a hive of activity with the children making St. Brigid's Crosses. They brought lots of rushes into school for this activity. Following a demonstration, the children attempted to make the crosses. Some children found it very manageable while others found it quite challenging. However, they all persevered, and several boys and girls helped others once they had completed their own. The class were very proud of their accomplishments. In the afternoon, many of the children helped 1st and 2nd class to make crosses in the hall. All children took great pleasure in bringing home their crosses.
