Inspired by our recent appearance on Ireland AM where the school participated in a table tennis workshop,the Student Council decided to organise a table tennis tournament for all classes from 2nd to 6th.
The 12 children on the Student Council drew up a timetable for each class and ran off each round expertly . There was great excitement as the winners emerged from each class. The winners from each class then played each other and the overall student champion Mark emerged from Third Class.
There was a competition between the staff as well and Mr Brennan took the honours in this category.
The whole school watched the final match between Mark and Mr Brennan. They both displayed their fantastic skills in a very close match. We are looking forward to this becoming an annual event . The challenge will be to beat Mr Brennan !!!
