Supervalu Athletics

On Thursday the 28th September 40 Rathcormac students took part in the annual Supervalu Athletics Competition at ATU Sligo. The event is organised by Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership and involves 40 schools with 1200 students competing on the day. 

Rathcormac N.S. pupils had been busy practicing at lunch times in the weeks leading up to the event. 40 of our pupils took part in a variety of disciplines: Shot Putt, 200m Individual Run and 100m Team Relays. The event was a festival of colour, competition and comradery. As per usual the Rathcormac Girls and Boys did the school proud by putting in a huge effort and performing brilliantly on the day. 

Well done to all the pupils that took part and special thanks to Mr Brennan, Mr Colsh and Mr Kelly for training the teams over the last number of weeks. We now set our sights on Schools Cross Country Competition on Saturday the 30th of September.
