On the 23rd October, 3rd class visited Parke's Castle. They watched a short video based on the history of the local area. That was followed by a tour of the castle where they heard lots of facts and interesting information about the castle, the O' Rourke and Parke's families. The castle has many interesting features including musket holes, a sally port, turrets, a sweathouse and a pigeon tower. The children enjoyed playing at the local playground before returning to school. It was an informative and enjoyable trip.
