Today archaeologist Marion Dowd gave a most interesting talk to 3rd and 4th class about archaeology. She explained about her work and digs that she has been involved in. She also explained how bones can be dated using radio carbon dating. Marion had a wide selection of replica artefacts which she passed around for the children to look at. She answered lots of interesting questions posed by the boys and girls. It was a most informative presentation.
